Lomega squads, Dover boys advance to semis
Lomega moved into the semifinals of both brackets at the Warriors Classic in Hammon.
The Lady Raiders downed Southwest Covenant 82-49 and played Hammon Friday in the semifinals in a rematch of the last two championship games of that tournament.
Hammon won both of those matchups.
A potential Class B top-five showdown in the championship was derailed.
Sentinel’s girls upset previously undefeated and second-seeded Boise City 35-32 in the quarterfi nals.
Lomega is ranked second in the class and is the tournament’s top seed.
The Raiders moved their way into the semis with a 40-39 victory over Sentinel.
They played Southwest Covenant in the semifi nals.
All semifinal games were after press time.
Dover’s boys also moved into the semifinals of their tournament.
They knocked off Geary 41-38 Thursday in the quarterfinals of the newly-revamped Okeene Invitational.
Dover played Pioneer-Pleasant Vale in the semifi nals.
Pioneer has defeated Dover twice this season.
The Lady Longhorns dropped a 55-31 decision to Pioneer in their quarterfi - nal game.
