Kelly Smith

Kelly Paul Smith, 73, died July 26, 2019, at Legend Assisted Living in Oklahoma City.

Services were Tuesday, July 30, in the Benson Memorial Chapel in El Reno with Chaplain Miles Knutson officiating.  

Burial was at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Okarche under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.  

Kelly was born Sept. 28, 1945, at Carlsbad, N.M., but lived most of his life in Okarche.

He was a crop duster for more than 50 years. In addition to his passion for flying, he enjoyed his children and grandchildren and being involved in their activities.

Kelly is survived by his children and their spouses: Becky and Shawn Vogt of Okarche, Sarah Barnes of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Blaine and Erin Smith of Edmond; mother Helen Hufnagel Smith of Okarche; brothers Lee Smith of Hermann, Mo., and Ken Smith of Okarche; and five grandchildren, Morgan, Bailey, Gabe, Sofia and Emma.

His father, Tom Smith, preceded him in death.
