KHS names November Students of the Month

Kingfisher High School has named its Students of the Month for November 2024.

Students are chosen based on many characteristics including responsibility, leadership, work ethic, reliability, kindness and more.

Selected by the faculty and staff were freshman Lily Voth, sophomore Maya Haney, junior Ariana Alvarez and senior Natalie Garrett.

Voth is the daughter of Joe and Kayla Voth.

She is listed on the superintendent’s honor roll. She is a member of the KHS girls softball team that was recently named Class 4A academic state champions.

Voth is also a member of the KHS girls basketball and tennis teams.

She is also active in the Kingfisher First Baptist Church youth group.

Haney is the daughter of Tyrone Reece and Julie and Michael Swisher.

She is a member of both the National Honor Society and the Oklahoma Honor Society. She is listed on the superintendent’s honor roll and received the 4.0 Award last year.

Haney is currently serving as the sophomore class vice president.

She is a member of the KHS girls basketball team as well as the KHS girls soccer team and earned all-district honors in soccer as a freshman.

Haney is an active member of the 84 and Me group and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Alvarez is the daughter of Sugeyli Alvarez.

She is a member of the National Honor Society and is listed on the principal’s honor roll.

Alvarez is active in the Kingfisher FFA Chapter.

Garrett is the daughter of Greg and Sara Garrett.

She is a member of the National Honor Society and the Oklahoma Honor Society. She is listed on the superintendent’s honor roll and has received the 4.0 Award.

Garrett is an active member of KHS Student Council where she is currently serving as president. She also serves on the Center of Family Love Teen Board and is currently the vice president.

Garrett is a member of the KHS girls soccer team, Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and the In the Middle of a Miracle team.
