Lady Raiders beat the weather, finish 11th at state XC
In what turned out to be the final race of the day, the Lomega girls took 11th place in the Class A girls state cross country meet at Edmond Santa Fe.
Class A boys was scheduled to be the final race, but lightning in the area halted the start of the race. It was eventually postponed until Wednesday afternoon.
Claire Myers paced the Lady Raiders as she finished 30th overall and 22nd among scoring runners. She completed the course in 14:02.61.

Joann Bilger 66th (40th) in 14:43.10.
Also scoring for Lomega were Jackie Penaran, who was 107th (71st) in 16:30.26 and Josey Nusz was 109th (73rd) in 16:39.77.
Lomega scored 161 points.
Southwest Covenant was dominant in claiming the state championship with just 29 points. Velma-Alma was the state runner-up with 96.
