Marla Vaverka

Marla Vaverka, 69, died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2024, at her home east of Hennessey Marla was born Nov. 16, 1954, in Enid to Harvey Edward and Leona Ruth Marten Krause.

She graduated from Enid High School in 1973, where she was a member of Enid High School Symphony. Following graduation, Marla attended Phillips University, where she was a member of the symphony as well.

She married Larry Vaverka on Nov. 16, 1995, in Enid. Marla was a payroll accountant.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Leona Krause, and in-laws, Rudolf and Helen Vaverka.

Marla is survived by her husband Larry of the home; two sons Matthew Robertson and wife Lisa of Enid, Michael Vaverka and wife Katha of Hennessey; two daughters Lori Bode and husband Shane of Oklahoma City, Liz Patton and husband Kyle of Enid; two sisters Jana McAlister and husband David of Nash, Debra Kretzschmar and husband Ken of Wichita; ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews Memorial services will be held at a later date with arrangements by Cordry- Gritz Funeral Home.
