Roy Bollenbach was born April 18, 1939, to Glen and Myrtle Bollenbach of Kingfi sher.

He passed away Saturday, June 29, 2024, in Kingfi sher at the age of 85.

Roy graduated in 1956 from Big Four High School and then attended the University of Central Oklahoma.

He married Carol Rother on May 6, 1961.

Roy later married Pam Taylor on Dec. 28, 1989.

After attending college, Roy worked in construction his entire professional career and was a founding partner of Bollenbach-Gilmour, Inc.

Roy was an avid fan of rodeo and loved to hunt and fish.

He was a longtime member of the Grand National Quail Hunt and also the Kingfisher Elks Lodge.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, sister Mary Turner and two great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Pam, of the home; son Bob Bollenbach and April O’Dell of Kingfisher, son Steve Bollenbach and wife Melanie of Oklahoma City; son Darrin Bollenbach and wife Kimberly of Houston, Texas; son Troy Bollenbach of Edmond; daughter Torie Soulek of Edmond; son Trey Maxey of Yukon; 23 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; sister Donna Jech and husband Arnold of Kingfisher; brother Claude Bollenbach and wife Barbara of Kingfisher; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family would like to thank Rotchel Butts, the staff at Russell-Murray Hospice and the staff at Mercy Hospital Kingfisher for their excellent care of Roy.

A graveside service is planned at 10 a.m. Monday, July 8, at Kingfisher Cemetery under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home-Kingfisher. Family and friends are invited to attend.

The family also asks that any memorial donations in Roy’s name be made to the American Cancer Society.
