Glennetta Cooper
Glennetta Beatrice (Randle) Cooper, 88, of Tyrone, passed away April 13, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones.
Glennetta Randle was born Sept. 11, 1935, southeast of Rolla, Kan. She was the oldest daughter of Glen and Thelma (Dixon) Randle.
She attended and graduated from Rolla Public Schools.
On July 29, 1952, she married John “Jack” Cooper.
They eventually made their home in Tyrone. She was a homemaker and was also a babysitter for some of the Tyrone school teachers.
Glennetta was a seamstress who sewed dresses, prom dresses and cheerleading outfits for the girls.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Kevin Stevens; one granddaughter, Kloe Cabela Stevens; one son-inlaw, Alan Sherrill; and two sisters, Nina Henson and Vivian Quimby.
Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Jack Cooper; three daughters, Beth and Jerry Shilling of Kingfisher, Jackie and Lloyd Stevens of Tyrone and Tammie Sherrill of Tyrone; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Annetta Dirks; and one brother, Randy Randle and wife Gonza.
Celebration of life and graveside services were April 28 at the Tyrone Cemetery.
