Mueggenborg finishes strong at 2A state golf
Hunter Mueggenborg recovered from a disastrous start at the Class 2A boys state golf tournament to finish in the top 20.
Mueggenborg quintuple- bogeyed his first hole and triple-bogeyed his ninth.

He followed up his firstround 94 with an 84 on his second 18 holes Monday.

That tied him for 20th with Velma-Alma’s Conner Bruce.
There were 75 golfers in the state tournament field.
Carter Ray of Walters won the individual state title with a 219, which was just 3-over-par.
Latta won the team title with a 984. Thomas was the state runner-up with its 1,029 over the three rounds.
