Nancy Brueggen

Nancy Lea Brueggen was called to her heavenly home on Feb. 29, 2024, after a long battle with cancer.

She was born Oct. 28, 1961, to Harry and Wilma (Britt) Trindle in Kingfi sher.

She graduated from Kingfisher High School in 1979, then attended Central State University where she received a bachelor of science in nursing in 1983.

Nancy was a registered nurse working at the Oklahoma Medical Center and several other hospitals and clinics in the Oklahoma City metro area.

She married Andrew “Ike” Brueggen on Oct. 22, 1988. They made their home on the farm east of Okarche.

She retired from nursing to raise her two sons and help keep up with farming activities.

She enjoyed going to all her sons’ school activities.

Nancy was the Okarche High School principal’s secretary for a couple of years before returning full time to support her husband and son on the farm.

She made many friends throughout her life and she will be missed.

Nancy is survived by her husband, son Trindle Brueggen and wife Lauren of Yukon, brother Bill Trindle of Kingfisher and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son Lee Brueggen; brothers Scott Matheson and Don Matheson; and her parents.

Wake service was March 4 and Mass of Christian Burial was March 5 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Okarche under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.
