Hennessey splits road games at OBA
A third-quarter explosion helped Hennessey put away Oklahoma Bible Academy for its fourth straight win.
Up by nine at the half, the Eagles outscored OBA by 15 to push their lead to 49-25 after three quarters.
The spark came from Camdyn Richardson and Garrett Vinson.
Richardson sandwiched two 3-pointers around one from Vinson on consecutive trips down the floor to break the game wide open.
Richardson had four treys in the third and five in the game.
He led all scorers with 19 points.
Vinson scored all 10 of his points in the second half.
Hennessey built its early lead in the first quarter, outscoring the host Trojans 16-6.
James Sims made two treys and scored half of Hennessey’s points in the frame.
Sims scored 15 in the first half and 17 overall.
The Eagles improved to 11-2 with their win.
OBA slows down Lady Eagle offense
A balanced scoring attack by Oklahoma Bible Academy pushed it past Hennessey on Friday.
The Lady Eagles struggled to keep up in a 46-22 defeat in Enid.
The visitors scored just two field goals in the first half and trailed 27-6.
“They (OBA) played really well and shot it really well,” coach Brian Richardson said. “And we struggled to score.”
Hennessey was without starting center Ally Painter. Freshman Clare Munroe scored eight points in her absence.
“She came in and did a good job,” Richardson said.
Six of those points came in the fourth quarter.
Emma Copeland scored seven for Hennessey, which is now 7-6 on the season.
Ranked eighth in Class A, OBA got eight points each from Lilyan Walden, Brianna Colby and Zofia Konczalska. Two other Lady Trojans scored seven each.
