Jane Vaverka

Jane Vaverka passed away Nov. 15, 2023.

She was born March 5, 1933, to Emil and Julie Milacek.

Jane attended elementary school in Bison and graduated from Waukomis High School. She received her LPN license in 1971.

Jane loved to sew and could make anything.

Her other passion was gardening. She always said “you can take the girl off the farm, but you can’t take the farm out of the girl.”

She lived her later years in Pharr, Texas, where she loved sharing things from her garden with neighbors.

Jane will be greatly missed by her family and friends in the senior community she lived in.

She is survived by her son Jesse Vaverka and his wife Cheryl; one grandson, six great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Leonard Milacek and her dear daughter, Julie Anne Vaverka.
