Yellowjackets in tournament next week at Woodward

Tournament brackets have been released for next week’s 5th annual Winter Classic basketball tournament in Woodward.

The Kingfisher High School boys will be taking part in the event, which will be held at the school’s high school gym, Boomer Field House.

(Note: The KHS girls are not playing in the tournament. They’ll be taking part in the Bertha Frank Teague Mid-America Classic in late December.)

The Winter Classic begins Thursday and runs through Saturday (Dec. 7-9) and the Jackets drew the fifth seed.

Following is a complete tournament schedule for the boys’ bracket:

Thursday

Game 1: Weatherford vs. Guymon, 11:30 a.m.

Game 2: Yukon vs. Clinton, 2:30 p.m.

Game 3: Lubbock Roosevelt vs. Life Prep Academy, 5:30 p.m.

Game 4: Kingfisher vs.

Woodward, 8:30 p.m.

Friday

Loser 2 vs. Loser 3, 11:30 a.m.

Loser 1 vs. Loser 4, 2:30 p.m.
