Dover downs Aline-Cleo
Dover had no problems remaining undefeated Tuesday as it played the final game before Thanksgiving break. Five Lady Longhorns scored as many or more points than the opponent in a 92-10 victory over Aline-Cleo on homecoming night.
Prior to the game, Karlee Harviston was named homecoming queen.
She followed up the coronation by scoring 10 points as Dover improved to 4-0.
Dover led 33-0 after a quarter and notched the game’s first 50 points before the Lady Cougars were able to score.
Katelyn Harviston exploded in the first quarter as she scored 17 of her gamehigh 24 points.
Rylee Buck added eight points in the frame.
Joi Caldwell took over in the second when she chipped in 12 of her 18 points.
Dover led 57-2 at halftime.
Buck finished with 13 points while Ashley Gamez added 12.
Dover now gets a twoweek break.
It returns to action Nov. 28 at Waukomis.
Longhorns win big, too
Nathan Cohee was crowned the homecoming king prior to the girls game.
His big first quarter helped Dover get off to a quick start in a 93-29 victory in the boys game.
The junior scored 12 points in the first eight minutes as the Longhorns got out to a 29-10 lead.
They kicked it up a notch on both ends of the court in the second quarter with a 36-3 run.
Casen Buck and Jessy Price combined for five 3-pointers and 26 points in the quarter.
Four Longhorns scored in double figures while two more nearly got there.
Buck led the way with 17 points, all in the first half.
Cohee scored all 16 of his in the first two quarters as well.
Freshman Randy Vitalis scored 17 while Price finished with 15.
Brennan Fletcher and Lucas Conrady scored nine points apiece.
Dover moved to 2-2 with the win.
