Elizabeth ‘Lizzie’ Milligan
Elizabeth “Lizzie” Virginia Milligan was born Nov. 25, 1964, the second child to Francis and Edwina Starr Milligan in Kingfisher.
Lizzie peacefully transitioned to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 29, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Leon and Elsie Bray Milligan; maternal grandparents, Roy and Esther Rednose Starr; and her parents, Francis, and Edwina Starr Milligan.
She attended school in Kingfisher.
Lizzie professed her hope in Christ and was baptized.
Lizzie united with God’s Covenant Church, which she attended faithfully before her health declined.
Lizzie was a very loving, humble person from the time she was born.
Lizzie loved to travel to see her sister Sue’s family. She enjoyed being with family and going out to eat and fellowship.
Lizzie was an excellent cook, making the best made-from-scratch crust for peach cobbler. She also enjoyed going to the casino to get out of the house and be with family.
Lizzie was a dedicated aunt to eight nieces and nephews and seven great-nieces and great-nephews.
She is survived by her siblings Sue Tasso (John) of Jackson, Calif., Shelly Heskett (Ralf), Vince Milligan (Ctaci) and Shari Clayton (Glenn Jr.), all of Kingfisher, and other family and friends who love Lizzie.
A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, at the Cheyenne- Arapaho Emergency Response Center, 400 E. Erwin, in Kingfisher, with burial following at Banner Cemetery.
Pastor Wendell Prim will officiate the service, which is under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service.
