Lomega’s Roberts earns conference MVP honors
Lomega’s Darcy Roberts was recently named the Most Valuable Player of the Cherokee Strip Conference.
Roberts averaged 17.1 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists a game during her senior campaign.
Lomega was 29-3 and finished as the Class B state runner-up.
Along the way, the Lady Raiders went undefeated in conference games and also won the conference tournament.
Roberts was joined on the first team by fellow senior Sydni Walker and junior Abby Swart.
Several Lomega Lady Raiders were also named to the academic all-conference team, which includes juniors and seniors with a 3.5 GPA or higher.
Making that list were Sierra Johnson, Roberts, Walker, Madi Myers, Swart and Monse Rivera Owen Duffy and Lance Yost were named to the boys’ all-conference team.
Kelby Ott and Brooks Uhlenhake earned honorable mention.
Lomega finished in a three-way tie with Ringwood and Timberlake for the conference regular-season title.
Academic all-conference team members were Ott, Traver Duffy, Owen Duffy, Trevor Lentz, Kade Shaloy, Uhlenhake and Mario DeLeon.
