Kathryn Havener
Kathryn (Kathy) Louise Havener was born Sept. 23, 1955, at Kingfisher Regional Hospital to Joseph Irwin Farrell and Betty Lou Farrell.
She passed away on Feb. 7, 2023, in Oklahoma City.
Kathy was the middle child of four brothers, Greg, Mark, Jeff and James Farrell.
She was a very tough gal because, well, she had to be.
Kathy was a heck of a basketball player, she played piano and clarinet, and was eventually the drum major of the Kingfisher High School band.
Robert (Bobby) Havener, Jr., was lucky enough to be introduced to Kathy in 1974 and shortly thereafter tied the knot on Nov. 19, 1976.
A few wild and crazy years later they had their first accident, Robert (Trey) Havener III in 1982 and a couple years later another, Krista Nicole Havener, in 1984.
They lived a happy life in El Reno from 1987 until Bobby passed away in 2020.
Kathy worked at Mc-Bride Clinic, now known as McBride Orthopedic Hospital, in many many different areas and probably would have done maintenance if they’d have let her, although it’s a good thing they didn’t.
She worked there with Bobby and Trey for around 30 years.
Kathy loved her grandbabies above nearly all else: Jocelyn Jenkins, Aidan Jenkins, Sophia Bradley, Ella Havener and, last but not least, Maxton Havener.
Papa and Gigi spoiled the babies at every possible turn and made sure they were well taken care of.
If you were lucky enough, Kathy would crochet you a liver shaped blanket. They are very very warm though and pretty.
She will be missed greatly by all who loved her, but will be greeted warmly by those who left us before her.
Kathy and Bobby are partying hard in heaven. I just hope they save a little for the rest of us.
Kathy was preceded in death by mother and father, Betty and Joe Farrell; brothers Mark Farrell and Greg Farrell; father-in-law Robert (Bob) Havener, Sr.; and the love of her life Bobby Havener.
She leaves her legacy with her son Trey and his wife Brandi Havener of Yukon; also with her daughter Krista Havener of Florence, Colo.; her five precious grandchildren, her brothers Jeff Farrell and his wife Paula and James Farrell and his wife Jennifer, sisterin- law Debbie Farrell, all of Kingfisher; her mother-inlaw Norma Havener of El Reno; brother-in-law Steve and wife Sherry Havener, of Leedey; and sister-inlaw N’Lisa Havener of El Reno, and many many precious nieces and nephews and a great many friends.
A celebration of life for Kathy was Thursday, Feb. 9, at the El Reno First Baptist Church with Steve Havener officiating. Burial followed at the El Reno Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home.
