Billie Dillard
Memorial services for Billie Gene Dillard, 80, Loyal, will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Loyal, 12000 N 2700 Road. Services are under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco.
Billie Gene Dillard was born Jan. 25, 1942, at Brighton, Ark., to Harley Franklin and Dollie Mae (Snead) Dillard. He died at his home in Loyal on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022.
Billie joined the United States Army in April 1959 and was discharged in April 1964.
He met and married Harrietta Marylena Smith in St. Louis, Mo., had their children and moved to Oklahoma.
They divorced and remarried on Jan. 25, 2001.
They had lived at Houston, Texas, Minco and Mustang until her death in 2012.
Billie married Darlene Hopkins in 2013 and moved to Mountain Home, Ark., until her death in 2021. He then moved to Loyal.
Billie had worked in trucking as a driver and was a member of the Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Flippin, Ark., and had been attending at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Loyal.
He was also preceded in death by his parents Frank and Dollie Dillard; daughter Victoria Southerland; son-in-law Douglas Newsome; granddaughter Julie Bumgardner; great-grandson Dustin Southerland; sisters Helen Phelps, Ellen Jones and Mildred Forrest; and brothers James, Charles and Don Dillard.
Billie is survived by his sons Lloyd Dillard and wife Sabrina of Yukon, Michael “Moe” Dillard and wife Kathy of Loyal; stepson Donnie Hopkins of Corning, Ark.; daughters Cindi Newsome of Oklahoma City, Veronica Shepperd and husband Jeff of Minco; stepdaughter Debra Finley and husband Jay of Hardy, Ark.; brothers Millard Dillard and wife Wanda of Morehouse, Ark., Jerry Dillard and wife Jackie of Highridge, Mo.; sister Anna Griffin of Corning, Arkansas; 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
