Eagles blank Chisholm
Hennessey’s schedule gives it a series of games in which the Eagles can put themselves in solid playoff position.
And the Eagles are taking full advantage.
They won their second straight game last Friday night as they blew out winless Chisholm 63-0 on the road.
That moved HHS to 4-2 overall and 2-1 in District 2A-1.
Up next is a trip to Blackwell (1-5) on Thursday before returning home in Week 8 to host Alva (2-4).
The Eagles are currently tied with Newkirk - the Eagles’ Week 10 opponent - for third place in the district.
Chisholm provided almost no resistance as Hennessey racked up 540 yards of total offense.
Titan Hix, Hennessey’s freshman quarterback, accounted for a large chunk.
He threw for 261 yards and four touchdowns and totaled another 175 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
It was also a big night for Sebastian Gonzalez.

Gonzalez ran for 39 yards and had TD scampers of 13 and 8 yards.
He also caught a 19-yard touchdown.
Weston Smith had the biggest receiving night with eight catches for 138 yards.
His 52-yard reception gave Hennessey its first score of the night. He later added a 1-yard TD catch.
The Eagles scored 21 points in each of the first two quarters.
Seth Simunek also had a TD reception.
Zack Tillman, who totaled 62 yards rushing, scored on a 17-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Chisholm had 280 yards of offense, but was forced into four turnovers.
Simunek had one interception and one fumble recovery.
