Class A & B baseball, softball districts begin this Thursday

Class A and B softball and baseball playoffs begin this week with district tournaments.

The only local team hosting a district are the Dover Lady Longhorns, who welcome Glencoe and Mulhall-Orlando to town on Friday.

Dover, Okarche and Lomega baseball all hit the road beginning Thursday, as does the Okarche softball team.

Following are brackets involving all local teams:

BASEBALL Class A at Amber-Pocasset Thursday

Game 1: Am-Po vs. Wellston, 11 a.m.

Game 2: Binger-Oney vs. Okarche, 1:30 p.m.

Game 3: Winner 1 vs. Winner 2, 4 p.m.

Game 4: Loser 1 vs. Loser 2, 6:30 p.m. (loser eliminated)

Friday

Game 5: Loser 4 vs. Winner 3, 2 p.m. (loser eliminated) Game 6: Winner 4 vs. Winner 5, 4 p.m.

Saturday

Game 7: If necessary, 2 p.m.

Class B at Granite Thursday

Game 1: Lomega vs. Chattanooga, 2 p.m.

Game 2: Granite vs. Lomega, 4 p.m.

Game 4: If one team has one loss and one team has no losses, they play, noon Game 5: If necessary, 2 p.m.
