KHS soccer, Cashion baseball seasons end over the weekend
SPRING PLAYOFFS
Kingfisher High School’s soccer teams saw their seasons come to an end in the playoffs last week. The KHS boys traveled to Madill Thursday night and were defeated 3-1. It was just the second playoff appearance in the program’s history. The loss gave the Jackets a 4-10 overall record. The Lady Jackets traveled to Harrah the next night and were defeated 10-0. They wrap up their season with a 7-8 mark. Cashion’s baseball season ended two wins shy of a state tournament berth. The Wildcats were defeated 6-5 by Canute on the Trojans’ home field last Friday night. Cashion’s season ends with a 25-8 record. Earlier in the day, Cashion eliminated Elmore City-Pernell 21-4 to set up the showdown with Canute. Cashion would have needed to defeat Canute twice to win the Class A regional title.
