Okarche’s Stover, Cashion’s Frazier named TRC MVPs

The Three River Conference Most Valuable Player honor for 2022 went to players that helped lead their teams to regular season and tournament titles.

After a vote of coaches, it was announced this year’s winners were Okarche’s Emma Stover and Cashion’s Austin Frazier.

A junior, Stover guided the Lady Warriors to a 6-0 conference record.

The Lady Warriors also won the Three Rivers Conference Tournament in January.

Overall, Okarche was 26-4 and advanced to the Class A state semifinals.

Along the way, she averaged 15.0 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.3 steals a game.

Frazier is keeping the boys’ MVP award in the Cashion family.

Teammate Vance Raney was last year’s recipient and is on this year’s all-conference team.

For the season, Frazier averaged 13.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists.

As Cashion went 7-0 in conference regular season games and won the tournament, the senior picked up his game, averaging 15.0 points, 6.3 boards and 2.3 assists.

The Wildcats were 24-6 overall and reached the Class 2A state title game for the first time in program history.

Joining Frazier and Raney on the all-conference team were fellow Wildcats Jonah Jenkins and Landon LaGasse.

Stover’s teammates also earning all-conference were Jalie Rother, Jadyn Rother and Sophie Vandendriessche.
