Ilene Bullard
Ilene Virginia Bullard was born Sept. 19, 1940, in Kingfisher to Ernest and Irene Bredel.
She passed March 4, 2022, in Edmond.
Ilene was raised on a farm outside Okarche along with her brothers Marvin and Eldon Bredel.
After graduating from Okarche High School, she attended college at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford for two years and later in life continued her education by taking courses at El Reno Junior College.
Ilene’s first job was working as a nurse aide at Kingfisher Regional Hospital.
She had a 26-year career at Pioneer Telephone, starting as an operator and then working as a billing clerk. She worked for Pioneer until she was 75 and proudly wore her Pioneer shirts.
Ilene had two children, Greg Bullard and Gina Sigl.
Greg lives in Fort Worth with his wife Mary and daughter Kaylie.
Gina lives in Edmond with her husband Ken. They have two children, John of Chanute, Kan., and Kristen of Edmond.
Ilene’s legacy is her abundant love for her family, caring for her parents and grandparents.
She maintained a very close relationship with her children and grandchildren throughout their lives. She absolutely adored her grandchildren.
She loved to spend time with her family, especially going out to lunch and having long calls. She had a way of making her family feel treasured and cherished.
Her family loved her deeply and will miss her immensely.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and sister-in-law Gayle Bredel.
She is survived by her children, grandchildren, brothers and sister-in-law Sue Bredel.
