Webbers Falls puts end to Dover boys season, 63-42
The Dover boys staved off elimination once.
They didn’t have another one in them.
Dover’s season ended Monday with a 63-42 loss to Webbers Falls in their Class B regional consolation semifinal at Agra.
The Warriors outscored Dover in each quarter as they slowly pulled away and advanced to the consolation championship.
The Longhorns’ season ended with a 12-11 record.
They got the 12th win Saturdaywhen they opened the regional with a thrilling 41-39 win against Coyle.
Damion Turner knocked down a free throw with nine seconds left to give the Longhorns a twopoint lead.
Dover fouled while attempting to press, but Coyle’s Trace Clark missed the front end of a one-and-one.
After Joriaun Caldwell also missed the front end on the other end, Dover was able to get a steal to end the game and advance.
Caldwell scored 14 to place Dover in the win while Kolten Shaw scored eight and Kasen Harviston seven.
Webbers Falls was able to score easier and got nearly half its points on 10 3-pointers.
Daylon Jarrard buried four of them as part of his 13 points and Camden Chappell added three more as he led all scorers with 25.
The Warriors had four players in double figures, but Caldwell was the only one to manage the feat for Dover.
He knocked down 24 points in the final game of his Dover career.
Emory Norton and Turner scored six points apiece.
