Tigers handle Cashion 42-0
The War on 74 was all Crescent in 2023.
The Tigers wrapped up their regular season last Friday with a 42-0 victory against rival Cashion.
Despite the loss, Cashion still is headed for the playoffs.
The Wildcats finished the year with a 4-6 overall record, including 2-3 in District A-3.
The Wildcats were in a three-way tie with Hinton and Christian Heritage for the final two playoff spots.
Hinton got the nod for third with minus-22 district points.
Cashion ended up fourth with minus-24 while Christian Heritage (-28) was left out.
“We played a lot better defensively in the second half,” said Cashion coach Lynn Shackelford of the loss to Crescent. “We looked a lot better out there.”
Crescent ended the year 8-1 overall and 4-1 in the district, good for second place.
