Surging Warriors win again
Make that six wins in a row for the Okarche Warriors.
The team traveled to Oklahoma City Tuesday and came back with a 51-36 victory over Harding Fine Arts.
“We’re playing better defense and playing harder overall,” coach Aaron West said as the Warriors improved to 6-2.
Fellow coaches have noticed as well. Okarche entered the Class A rankings this week at No. 18.
Against the Firehawks, Okarche led by three points at halftime.
However, they went on a 19-6 run in the third quarter to open it up.

Lady Warriors win big
Okarche dropped one spot this week in the Class A girls rankings, but it hasn’t been due to performance on the court.

Okarche led 30-0 after a quarter and 49-2 at halftime.
The first quarter saw Sophie Vandendriessche score 13 points and Emma Stover eight.
