Snodgrass has strong showing at Classic Bowl football game
A safety was the difference last Saturday night as the West toppled the East 15-14 in the Classic Bowl XXXIV football game in Woodward.
The game was the cul mination of a week of events held annually to celebrate student-athletes from Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas.
After the game, Kingfisher’s Slade Snodgrass was named the Most Valuable Player for the East squad.
Official stats weren’t kept for the game, but, unofficially Snodgrass led the East with six tackles.
“He also had a couple of big runs on the night” on offense, according to Trent Caldwell, who called the game for K101 radio.

The decisive play came in the third quarter when a 64-yard punt by the West pinned the East at the 1.
On the next play, the West was able to tackle Perry’s Caden Hall in the end zone for the 15-14 lead.
Neither team scored in the fourth quarter.

The East scored first in the game when a pair of Watonga Eagles hooked up for a big play. A halfback pass from Joe Jackson to Deondre Dunn went for 63 yards and a 7-0 lead.
The West scored twice before the end of the half to take a 13-7 lead.
Balko-Forgan’s Jaden Hall was named the MVP of the West team.
