Ringwood swept during trip to Lomega
Lomega handed Ringwood just its fourth loss of the season as it held on Tuesday for a 67-60 victory at home.
The Raiders got some breathing room in the third quarter by turning a fourpoint lead into 10.
Lance Yost scored nine in the quarter, Brooks Uhlenhake nailed two 3-pointers and Ben Marsh delivered a four-point play.
The Red Devils tried to march back into it in the fourth, but the Raiders went 13 of 18 from the foul line to keep their lead.
Marsh was 6 of 7 in that final quarter and finished with 20 points.
Yost made all four of his offerings and scored 16. He had 13 of them in the second half.
Owen Duffy scored 14 for Lomega.
The senior scored half of them in the first quarter as the Raiders staked a 2113 lead.
Marsh made two of his four treys and scored eight in the frame.
Ringwood cut the deficit to four points by halftime, but the Raiders reclaimed command after the break.
The win pushed the Raiders to 13-4 while Ringwood moved to 12-4.
It was Lomega’s seventh win in eight games.
Lady Raiders win by 71
Ringwood’s girls had just four wins entering the game.
That number didn’t change.
Lomega held the Lady Devils to single digits in every quarter en route to an 84-13 victory at home.
The Lady Raiders made five 3-pointers in the first quarter alone and led 32-5.
Darcy Roberts made two of them and had 12 points by the end of the quarter. Abby Swart also had a pair and scored nine in the first.
In all, Lomega made 13 treys.
Roberts and Aliana Lawson had three each.
Roberts led the team with 18 points.
Swart scored 15 and Lawson chipped in 11 as the Lady Raiders moved to 16-1 on the season.
