Raiders grab pair of wins against Okeene
A dominant second half propelled the Lomega Raiders to their third straight win on Tuesday.
Up a modest seven points at the break, Lomega pulled away for a 69-37 home victory.
Lance Yost sparked the third-quarter burst.
The sophomore buried three 3-pointers as part of a 19-8 run.
Chase Burton scored eight and Traver Duffy six in the fourth as the Raiders closed out with a 24-10 burst.
Yost led all scorers with 17 points.
Trevor Lentz scored 11, including 10 in the first half.
Jaxson Snowden scored 10 while Burton and Ben Marsh scored nine apiece.
The victory moved Lomega, ranked 17th in Class B, to 8-4.
Lady Raiders win big
Lomega’s girls picked up Tuesday where they left off before the break.
The Lady Raiders won their 11th straight by downing Okeene 75-26 at home.
The home team began to pull away in the second quarter using a 21-7 run.
It was a steady build from there.
Abby Swart scored half of her 16 points during that second-quarter run.
Paige Wheeler heated up in the second half as she scored 15 of her game-high 17.
Lomega also got 10 points from Bree Yost while Jenny Penaran and Aliana Lawson notched eight apiece.
The victory pushed Lomega’s record to 11-1.
