Pendergraft paces Raiders in Class 2A boys state meet
A class dominated at the top by teams from the northwest saw Lomega finish 20th Saturday at the Class 2A boys state cross country meet.
Hooker won the state title with just 58 points in the event held at Edmond Santa Fe High School. Boise City was the state runner-up with 142 points and Timberlake took third with 194. Lomega totaled 424 points for the meet. The Raiders were led by Jonah Pendergraft, who was 72nd out of 154 runners.
Pendergraft completed the 5 kilometer course in 19:14.52 and was 54th among runners who scored points for their teams.
Austin Chestnut was 85th (64th) in 19:31.1 and Trevor Lentz 117th (96th) in 20:32.67.
Also scoring points for Lomega were Braxton Murray and Logan Zielinski.
In Class 2A girls, Addison McCracken of Cashion qualified as an individual.
The sophomore placed 83rd overall and ran the 3,200 meter course in 14:53.04.
