OSSAA announces Class A, B playoff assignments

The OSSAA released playoff assignments last Friday for Classes A and B basketball.

District tournaments begin Feb. 11 for those classes as they begin a month-long trek toward state.

In Class B, Dover and Lomega are both in Area II and both will host district tournaments.

Each area has two teams ranked in the top-eight.

On the girls side in Area II, those teams are Lomega (1) and Varnum (5).

Other ranked teams in the area include Paden (12), Earlsboro (14) and Dover (19).

For the boys, the topeight teams are Glencoe (4) and Ft. Cobb-Broxton (8).

Dover will also host the first day of a regional tournament before the remainder of the regional moves to Coyle. Stroud will be the area host.

In Class A, the Okarche girls (2) are one of the top-eight teams along with Vanoss (5).

Other ranked girls teams are Depew (16), Ripley (17) and Stuart (20).

Stuart (7) and Vanoss (3) are the top-eight boys teams in the area.

Okarche is ranked 17th. Also ranked for the boys are Riverfield (15), Okay (16) and Regent Prep (20).

Okarche will host a district tournament before playing its regional at Regent Prep and area at Kellyville.
