Okarche handles Crescent in sweep
Okarche shrugged off just its second loss of the season with a dominant home conference win.
The Lady Warriors stayed unbeaten in conference play Tuesday with their 74-21 victory over Crescent.
The Lady Warriors lost to Watonga three days earlier in the finals of the Coyle Invitational.
Against Crescent, Sophie Vandendriessche sparked a quick start as the Lady Warriors improved to 20-2.
Vandendriessche scored nine first-quarter points and Ryen Wittrock six more as Okarche got up 17-4.
The lead grew to 39-11 by halftime.
In the third, Jalie Rother poured in three 3-pointers and scored 11 as the advantage swelled to 44 points.
Rother scored 15 to lead all players.
Vandendriessche and Wittrock scored 14 apiece.
Crescent got 10 points out of Tatum Cummings.
Warriors get hot from long range in 22-point win
Ten 3-pointers helped Okarche methodically pull away from Crescent in a 62-40 home win.
The Warriors outscored their guests 30-9 from 3-point range as they improved to 16-6.
Trenton Neiderer made three of them and Brayden Stover and Osbaldo Barcenas two apiece as the Warriors went 10 of 27 overall from long range.
Stover was more unstoppable inside the arc as he was 10 of 14 from two-point range.
He eventually led all players with 26 points and 10 rebounds.
Okarche led 11-6 after a quarter, then went on a 17-5 run in the second.
Crescent got 16 points from C.J. Wilson.
Chism Watson scored eight while Kade Varner added seven points and nine boards.
Neiderer scored nine for the Warriors.
