Okarche’s West, Dover’s Reese honored at All-State

A pair of Kingfisher County boys basketball coaches were recognized during last week’s Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State week.
Okarche’s Aaron West and Dover’s Jared Reese were presented plaques for reaching career win milestones.
The presentations were made last Thursday during the OCA’s boys All-State basketball games at Sapulpa.
West surpassed career win No. 200 during last basketball season. He currently sits at 214 wins.
Reese eclipsed the 300win mark during his first year at Dover.
The former Blackwell and Kingfisher coach has 314 wins.
West received additional recognition.
He was recognized for earlier being named both the Region 1 Coach of the Year and the Small School Coach of the Year by the Oklahoma Basketball Coaches Association.
West guided Okarche to the Class A state championship in 2024, its first boys state title since 1979.
