Last girls game up in the air

This Thursday is “senior night” for the Kingfi sher High School basketball teams.

Whether the girls get to actually play a game is up in the air.

KHS was set to host OKC Storm, a home-school team, in the regular season finale. The contests were originally scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 14, but were pushed back two days when it was learned Kingfi sher’s district opponent dropped out of the playoffs.

On Monday, OKC Storm informed Kingfisher it didn’t have enough players for a girls game.

“We’re still looking for someone,” coach Taylor Young said of a replacement opponent.

As of press time, that opponent had yet to be found.
