Lady Jackets thump Moore JV to start Cleveland tournament
Kingfisher’s defense of its Cleveland Invitational basketball tournament began Thursday with an easy victory.
The top-seeded Lady Jackets had nine players score in a 56-24 win against Moore JV.
That put them in the semifinals Friday night (after press time) against Metro Christian, which beat Cleveland 70-29 in the first round.
KHS scored a modest 23 points in the first half, but held Moore scoreless in the second quarter and led by 19 points.
The offense woke up more in the third with 20 points.
Raegan Snider scored nine of her game-high 17 points in that stanza.
Kadyn Daugherty scored five of her nine points in the third.
KHS also got eight points from Addy Matthews and seven from Emily Myers.
