Kingfisher’s Abercrombies sign to play baseball for NOC-Tonkawa
Clayton and Keaton Abercrombie have played sports together their entire lives. College will be no different. The pair of Kingfisher High School seniors last Tuesday signed to continue their baseball careers at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa. They did so during a ceremony at the high school commons in front of family, coaches, teammates and classmates. The twins have been contributing to the varsity squads since their freshman seasons. Last year, they locked down center and right fields and were among the team leaders at the plate as Kingfisher set a school record for wins and advanced to the Class 4A state semifinals. Joining Clayton (seated left) and Keaton (seated right) were, standing from left: assistant coach Wyatt Carter, Tim Abercrombie (father) and head coach Stan Blundell.
