Kingfisher’s annual meet this Saturday at Briscoe

Kingfisher won’t have to go far at all for its second cross country meet of the season.

The Kingfisher Cross Country Invitational is this Saturday, Aug. 27.

The meet will be contested at Briscoe Park and will feature four races:

• High school boys at 8:30 a.m.

• High school girls at approximately 9 a.m.

• Middle school boys (Grades 6-8) at approximately 9:30 a.m.

• Middle school girls at approximately 10 a.m. The high school boys will run 5,000 meters, which is  1,800 meters more than their first meet of the season last weekend in Weatherford.

The varsity girls will run two miles, which is 800 more meters than last weekend.

The middle school boys will run two miles and the middle school girls one mile.
