KHS girls Cache in home win
Kingfisher made a pit stop on its home court last Tuesday and cruised to an easy Western Athletic Conference win.
The Lady Jackets outscored Cache all four quarters in picking up a 66-37 victory.
The win came after a two-game road swing and just before the Lady Jackets were set to play at No. 4 Weatherford on Friday (after press time, weather permitting).
All three of the potential road games were against ranked teams.
Cache, meanwhile, came to the APB with a 6-10 record.
The Lady Bulldogs quickly found themselves down 10 points as Allison Green and Peyton Walker combined to score 12 points in the first quarter.
The two added 11 more - and a combined three 3-pointers - in the second, but Cache minimized the damage.
In the third, the Lady Jackets found ways to get it to Rayland Garner inside. She responded with nine points in the third quarter while Raegan Snider came off the bench to offer six more.
Walker then notched a pair of treys in the fourth as KHS continued to add to its lead.
The sophomore led the team in scoring for the second straight night as she poured in 16 points.
She was 4 of 6 from 3-point range and added six rebounds and four steals to her game.
Green finished with 15 and was 3 of 6 from long range.
All told, Kingfisher made 10 of 25 3-point attempts.
Garner finished with 11 points.
The Lady Jackets forced Cache into 20 turnovers and scored 26 points off those miscues.
Cache shot just 32.5 percent for the game.
Kingfisher improved to 14-3 with the victory.
