Hennessey softball team earns OSSAA academic award

Hennessey’s head softball coach Lee Linsenmeyer announced that the high school girls team earned the OSSAA academic achievement award during the team’s 2021 banquet Thursday night.
Linsenmeyer and assistant HHS coach Matthew Fuksa and junior high coach Lisa Bossa also presented several individual awards.
Individual award winners were:
All-Region: Harlee Dowell, utility.
All-District: Dowell; Noelle Pollard, infield; Corrin Boss, pitcher, and Katie Kennedy, utility.
High School Awards: Boss, Big Stick and Golden Arm; Dowell, Golden Glove, Most Improved Offense; Kennedy, Most Improved Defense; Kenna Pendergraft, Eagle Pride.
Junior High Awards: Jaryn Dowell, Golden Glove and Big Stick, and Tayler Franklin, Golden Arm and Eagle Pride.
There were mutual thanks between coaches, players and parents during the second annual recognition banquet.
