Dover will get a twoweek break before playing its next game, but enters this lull in the schedule with a three-game win streak.

The Lady Longhorns moved to 3-2 last Tuesday by taking down Mulhall- Orlando 61-31 at home.

Rylee Buck nailed eight 3-pointers and scored a game-high 28 points in the victory.

She helped Dover score the game’s first 15 points and the Lady Longhorns didn’t look back.

Buck made three 3-pointers in each the first and second quarters. She had 13 points in the first frame as Dover led 19-3.

She added nine more points in the second as the lead was pushed to 32-13.

All told, Dover made 11 3-pointers.

Two came from Kynli Boeckman, who added 10 points for the Lady Longhorns.

Ashley Gamez scored eight and Bella Perdue seven.

Mulhall-Orlando was led by Ragean Graef’s 11 points. The Lady Panthers dropped to 1-4.

Defense helps Dover extend win streak

It wasn’t Dover’s best shooting night, but the defense ensured it didn’t need to be.

The Longhorns won their fourth straight game Tuesday by besting Mulhall- Orlando 51-33.

Dover had just one 3-pointer all night, but made up for it with several layups and bumps off the glass.

The Panthers struggled from shooting most anywhere against Dover’s zone. They also found it difficult to solve the Longhorns’ pressure.

One culprit was Jonah Pendergraft who had eight steals to go with his 20 points.

Casen Buck had that lone 3-pointer for Dover and added 12 points.

Lucas Conrady scored 10.

Dover was up just five points after a quarter, but used a 17-5 run in the second frame to break open the game.

The Longhorns led by 23 points after three quarters.

Dover is now 4-1.
