Dover boys 4th at Okeene
Dover had to settle for fourth place over the weekend in the boys bracket of the newly-revamped Okeene Invitational Tournament.
The Longhorns were downed 70-46 by Pioneer in Friday’s semifi nal game, then lost 52-49 to Okeene in the third-place matchup.
Dover led 15-7 after a quarter and by six points at halftime.
However, the Whippets outscored Dover 18-11 in the third quarter and held the lead in the fourth.
Joriaun Caldwell led Dover with 26 points while Kasen Harviston scored nine.
Caldwell scored 25 points Monday night when Dover earned a 56-35 home win against Geary.
The game was Dover’s fourth in fi ve days.
Geary led 12-9 after a quarter, but the Longhorns went on a 14-3 run in the second and further extended their lead with a 16-8 flurry in the third.
Caldwell scored 16 of his points during those quarters.
