A local family raised money for the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation with a 10th annual event.
The Cross Family Steer Wrestling Jackpot and Benefit was held May 16 at the Kingfisher Roundup Club Arena at the county fairgrounds.
“We drew contestants from 12 states and a transplant from Australia,” said Sherrie Cross, event coordinator.
Riley Duvall of Checotah won the open jackpot.
“Finally, after 10 years, I won one,” Duvall said.
Mason Couch of Kansas won the 19-and-under incentive and Adam Strahan of Illinois won the 40-andover incentive.
