Cashion’s Taylor gets All-State finish in 2A

Steady improvement earned All-State recognition for Kaitin Taylor.
The Cashion High School senior ran in her fourth straight Class 2A state cross country meet and took home a ninth-place fi nish.
Taylor fi nished Shawnee’s Gordon Cooper Technology Center’s 3,200 meter course in 13:10.03.
The top-15 fi nishers earn medals while the top 10 are named All-State.
Taylor finished 52nd at state as a freshman, 36th as a sophomore and 28th last year.
Each year, Taylor lowered her time. Her fi nish in 2019 was 11 seconds faster than a year ago despite running on a rain soaked, sloppy course.
