Area softball players earn more honors
Two Kingfisher High School softball players earned all-district honors and three more were named honorable mentioned.
Voted to the 4A-4 all-district team by coaches were Mya Dewberry and Natalie Dick.
Dewberry was named as a catch and Dick as a utility player.
Dewberry was second on the team with a .510 batting average. She led the team in hits (49) and was second in RBIs (27) and runs scored (28). She also led the team with 14 doubles and two triples this season.
Dick batted .475 for the season.
She led the team in runs scored (31), was second in hits (47) and fourth in RBIs (18).
Both players are juniors and were earlier named to the Tri-County All-Conference team.
Seniors Emma Lukasek and Brittany Willson and junior Merrin Evans earned all-district honorable mention.
• • • Dover seniors Kamree McNulty and Karlee McNulty also picked up more postseason honors.
The two were named to the All-Northwest Oklahoma second team.
The team is voted on by area coaches and published annually by the Enid News & Eagle.
Kamree McNulty led the Lady Longhorns with a .386 batting average.
Karlee McNulty was second on the team with a .384.
They helped Dover to its best fastpitch season in which it went 16-13 and earned a spot in the Class B rankings for the first time.
The two earlier earned spots on the Skeltur All-Conference team.
