Roberta Louise Swyden, 90, died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021, in Cashion.

Services will be 10 a.m Tuesday, Jan. 26, at Mercer-Adams Chapel in Bethany with Peter Schuppel officiating. Interment will follow at Cashion Cemetery.

Roberta was born Nov. 29, 1930, in Bethany to Noah and Arvirdie Cotton.

She graduated Bethany High School in 1948 and later attended Dallas Bible College for one year.

Roberta married James P. Swyden on April 12, 1948.

She worked as a beautician in the Bethany area for more than 40 years.

Survivors ter Janie Schuppel and husband Peter of Cashion, son Timothy Swyden and wife Sherrie of Spencer, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, brother Archie “Chester” Cotton of Oklahoma City; sister Kay Haggard and husband Jim of North Carolina, sister Lenora Hunter of Newalla, and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
