Patsy Ray
Patsy Ruth Ray of Kingfisher passed away on April 27, 2023, at her home after a battle with cancer.
Patsy was born May 25, 1937.
She is survived by daughters Towannah (Connie) Garner and Oteka Hedrick and husband Robert; her five grandchildren, Rebecca Garner, Leah Stephens and husband John, Dannie O. Garner and wife Heather, Laura Day and husband Rusty, Aaron Hedrick; as well as six great grandchildren.
She will also be missed by her nephews Cy Smith and wife Selena, Jesse Smith and wife Brandy (Angela); eight great-nieces and great-nephews, Alexis Gore and husband Jake, Sierra Smith, Thomas Smith, Trace Rader, Baylor Smith, Bently Smith, Ledger Smith and Henley Smith.
Patsy was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Ray; parents, Ben and Ethel Mosher; and a sister Vicki Smith.
Patsy retired as equal employment opportunity manager for Oklahoma Natural Gas in 1992.
Patsy was a lifetime member of the Tulsa EEO Coordinator’s Association.
She was a tireless volunteer. She served Kingfisher Public Schools, Kingfisher Regional Hospital, Kingfisher County Election Board and Caring Communities Support Center.
Patsy also spent her days caring for friends and family, taking them to doctor appointments, running errands and occasionally moving some into her home temporarily when needed.
A come-and-go viewing and visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, May 5, with family present to greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Service, Kingfisher.
Funeral services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Kingfisher at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 6.
The family suggests contributions to be made to the Caring Communities Support Center, Inc., or the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.
