OBITUARY: Keith Robinson
Keith Thomas Robinson, 65, of Longtown passed away peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024, at his home.
Keith was born Nov. 27, 1958, in Florence, Ala., the son of Henderson Claude Robinson, Jr., and Margaret Mary (Gassen).
Keith married Jacqueline (Jackie) Marie Meyer on April 8, 1978, in Okarche. They were married for 46 years.
Keith and Jackie enjoyed spending their early years together raising their three boys in Yukon. They would spend much of their time attending the boys’ soccer tournaments not only in Oklahoma, but surrounding states.
Keith was a skilled craftsman, teaching his boys various skills and a strong work ethic. He was always building something whether it be various pieces of furniture, a new barn or an addition to his patio area.
Keith even built his own home, known as an Earthship, which is a home built of natural and upcycled materials such as dirt packed tires and pop cans.
Keith and his family constructed and hand-built every aspect of the house over the course of a few years completing the home in 2000.
Keith was an avid motorcycle rider. After raising their children, Keith and Jackie were always riding motorcycles and found joy in traveling the United States with their cycles.
They enjoyed riding the Blue Ridge in North Carolina and the various areas of the Appalachian Mountains with The Tail of the Dragon in Tennessee being one of Keith’s favorite rides.
Keith also enjoyed riding the off-road mountain trails in Colorado with his riding buddies. Keith had a motorcycle for every riding destination and thoroughly enjoyed outfitting, enhancing and tinkering with his cycles.
In 2008, Keith’s first grandson was born, followed by five more grandchildren. Keith loved his family and was extremely proud of his six grandchildren.
They have fond memories of time spent with grandma and grandpa at the lake.
ForEli,age11,hewillmiss their lake swims. Thatcher, age 8, loved throwing the football with grandpa and his two dogs would catch it.
Kyla, age 6, played guess the animal with grandpa and he would always guess the wrong one on purpose. Haiden, age 14, enjoyed their fishing adventures and sharing the same birthday with his grandpa.
Carter, age 16, and Reese, age 13, hope grandma carries on his tradition of funny Christmas gifts. Reese loved when grandpa dumped confetti all over her.
Keith is survived by his wife Jackie of the home; three sons, Heath Robinson and wife Rachel, Randy Robinson and wife Taren, Hunter Robinson and wife Jessica, all of Okarche; one brother, Claude Robinson and wife Susan of Mustang; two sisters, Dorothy Hendricks of Piedmont and Virginia Wittrock of Okarche; and six grandchildren of Okarche, Carter, Haiden, Reese, Eli, Thatcher and Kyla.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents Henderson and Margaret Robinson.
To honor Keith’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Remembrances can be made through contributions online to Integris Cancer Care as a tribute to Keith.
