Margie Thompson

Services are pending for Margie Lou Thompson, 79, Hennessey.

Margie was born Dec. 25, 1940, in Loyal to Orville “Son” and Marcella Garms Turner and died Monday, Aug. 24, 2020, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid.

Margie married Melvin E. Thompson in Hennessey on June 3, 1960.

She was a member of Dover Christian Church, Hennessey Child Study Club and the Hennessey Roundup Club.

She is survived by two daughters, Trena Gardner and husband Bobby of Dover and Traci Thompson of Edmond; five grandchildren, Marcy Pribyl and husband Cris, Kaley Guerra, Lane Gardner, Mitchell Gardner and wife Staci, Kaden Guerra and girlfriend Kami Adams; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Vonda Vincent and husband James of Dover; two sisters-in-law, Catherine Schwarz and Wanda Choate and husband Max; and numerous nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Mel.

Cremation arrangements are by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
