Marcella Whorley

Marcella Pauline Whorley, 96, of Crescent, died June 29, 2024. She was born on July 23, 1927, in Kingfisher to August F. Emmerich and Rose M. (Biller) Emmerich.

Marcella married Melvin E. Whorley on Sept. 5, 1946, at St. Francis Xavier in Enid.

She was employed at Conoco Oil Company in Ponca City for 31 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; four brothers, Victor, Frank, Robert and Richard; and two sisters, Mary Agnes Mangum and Esther Potts.

She is survived by her brother Charles Emmerich and wife Janice, of Crescent, eight nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 5, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Kingfisher with burial to follow at Kingfisher Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service.
