Linda Patterson
Linda Mae Patterson, 67, of Kingfisher, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021.
She was born Nov. 21, 1953, to Lyman and Lula Richardson of Guthrie.
She attended Guthrie schools.
Linda ran several taverns in Guthrie like the Trackside 89er Bar and the Pump Jack. She loved what she did for a living and that was bartending.
She loved working for her boss, Harold Akins.
She loved people and made many lifelong friendships over the years.
Linda began managing the Pump Jack in 1987. After a few years, she no longer wanted to bartend and wanted to do something different for her and her girls.
That’s when she moved away from Guthrie, relocated to Kingfisher and began working at the local Dairy Queen.
After a very short time, she became the assistant manager.
After just two short years her life had changed and she got engaged and married the man she had always been looking for.
The man that when saying “for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness, and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part,” she had finally met her prince.
They exchanged their vows on Feb. 29, 1992, behind the Town House in Kingfisher.
As they began their life together as a family with three girls, he received the shock of his life when hearing he was going to become a father to his one and only son.
Linda loved being a mother, companion, and lifelong friend. She enjoyed helping anyone and everyone; she always had the best ear.
She would let you tell her anything and everything.
She was a beautiful woman inside and out.
Don’t think for a minute she wouldn’t tell you what she really thought. She was a very outgoing and outspoken woman.
We will all share the many wonderful years and memories of her life. She will truly be missed by all. May you rest in peace, fly high our angel.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Joe Richardson, and one sister, Lille Richardson.
She is survived by her husband Wade Patterson of the home; three daughters, Sheryl Mefferd, Rebecca Eck, and Lillie Mefferd; one son, Alexander Patterson; four brothers, Jesse, Jackie, Benton and Kevin Richardson; five grandchildren, Tanner, Brittany, Stephanie, Shannon, and Phillip; as well as four great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her beloved dog Katie.
