She and Ted attended and supported numerous school functions.

Her devotion to caring for her family was always reflected in her cooking.

She dedicated much time and effort into preparing wonderful and elaborate meals, including the great undertaking of preparing and delivering those meals to the field during harvest.

She was well-known for her delicious homemade pies with coconut, pecan and cherry being among the favorites.

LaVerne enjoyed working in her flower beds, sewing beautiful quilts (which won her numerous awards), being with her family and playing her piano and organ as she loved her Lord.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mary Meyer; brothers Erwin and Alfred Meyer; sister Mary Ann Meyer; her husband of 60 years, Ted Waggoner; daughter Sherry Waggoner; son Michael Waggoner; and two grandsons, Matthew and Ryan Waggoner.
